Its the most wonderful time of the year! No, not that one. The real one. Fall! Or, technically it is, although it sure doesn’t feel like it here in Chicago. But, that wonderful, crisp fall weather is coming, and with it the promise of apple pie, crunchy leaves and crackling fires. Basically, fall weather cannot get here quickly enough!

When the weather gets cooler, the only thing I want to wear is a cozy, over-sized sweater and a cute pair of boots – one of my main goals in life is to be as comfortable as possible at all times. But that means I’m always on the hunt for my next favorite sweater, and even though its about 90 degrees today, I’ve already started digging through the inventory of my favorite online stores.
Below, I’m sharing some of my favorite finds for you to take a look at. The best part? They’re all under $75!
Lou & Grey | Chenille Sweater, $69.50
I’m really feeling this new-ish brand from the Ann Taylor family, with its tagline, “Style + Comfort, Inspired” – style and comfort is literally fashion goals. They have tons of comfy-looking items available, but I really love the slouchy, off-the-shoulder look of this Chenille sweater.
ModCloth | Homecoming ‘Round the Mountain Sweater, $54.99

I think this might be the ultimate fall outfit. Long, chunky sweater? Check. Thick, cozy leggings? Check. Low-heeled ankle boots? Check. It even makes me wish I could wear hats. Almost.
Old Navy | Open-Front Bouclé Sweater, $49.99

For some reason these long cardigans feel very ’90s to me, and although I’m not a huge fan of a lot of the ’90s revival fashion going on right now, I do love this super long cardigan. Plus, pockets!
American Eagle | Mixed Stitch Cable Sweater, $44.95

One of my favorite places to buy sweaters is American Eagle (I may currently own four. No, I don’t have a problem. Why do you ask?). I love the loose fit and cable-knit detail on this one, and the rich burgundy color is gorgeous.
Gap | Floral Raglan Sleeve Pullover, $59.95

Although this sweater isn’t as over-sized as I might typically prefer, I do love the touch that the floral pattern on the sleeves adds. This is a sweater I’d wear with dark jeans or a pair of skinny dress pants for the office.
Have you purchased or tried on any of these sweaters? Where is your go-to store for fall clothing? How do you style sweaters to maximize the cute-to-comfy ratio? Let me know what you think in the comments below!
